Lucianne Tonti is an internationally recognised sustainability expert, journalist and author who examines how
industries respond to environmental, ethical and cultural change. She is the Fashion Editor of The Saturday Paper
and Sustainability Editor at Large for Elle Australia, her sustainability column in The Guardian Australia, Closet
Clinic, has been read over 9 million times.

Lucianne is the author of Sundressed: Natural Fibres and the Future of Fashion, released in Australia in 2022 and
internationally in 2023. The book, now in development as a docuseries, explores how global industries can move
towards more responsible, resilient models, with insights that resonate well beyond fashion.

Her forthcoming book, Good Witch, published by Simon & Schuster in July this year, is a global investigation into
the legacy of the witch hunts, tracing how the persecution of women, the devaluation of their work and the
exploitation of natural systems continue to shape modern economies and power structures. Drawing on research
from Salem to Scotland, Lucianne connects history, gender and the climate crisis, offering a powerful framework
for understanding risk, inequality and systemic pressures in contemporary society. Her writing also appears in Vogue Business, The Monthly, The Griffith Review and
The Sydney Morning Herald.

Alongside her media work, Lucianne brings direct commercial experience. She is an associate at Sweden’s Bergstrand Consultancy, extending their sustainability services to APAC helping organisations prepare for the evolving legislative landscape and the practical implications of sustainability beyond theory or trend. Her consulting clients include Textile Exchange, Global Fashion Summit, Tencel, Lenzing, Nagnata and KowTow.

A sought-after international speaker, Lucianne addresses audiences across Europe, North America and Asia on sustainability, ethics and long-term value creation. She has a Bachelor of Communications from RMIT, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Political Science from the University of Melbourne and a Juris Doctorate from Melbourne Law School.
