Description
Timothy Low-Wah is a current O’Malley Trust scholar whose research focuses on improving health outcomes for Pasifika communities. His work explores how dietary habits, physical activity, and other lifestyle factors influence the risk of type 2 diabetes among Pasifika children and adolescents in Sydney. Using community-engaged and culturally responsive approaches, Timothy seeks to identify effective strategies that support healthier lifestyles and help reduce the burden of diabetes among Pasifika youth and their families.
In this webinar, Timothy will reflect on and share his experiences with community engagement throughout his research. He will provide an overview of his four studies and share practical tips for building and maintaining community partnerships, as well as strategies for successful participant recruitment.
